Range Rover reversing lights

Hi,

Has anyone upgraded these or even aware if possible? Lights are terrible when reversing.

Nick

the L405 reverse lights are much brighter than the L322 ones.

you have to remember that they are not specifically for illumination but they are for grabbing the attention of other road users and pedestrians that you are moving backwards..

saying that, the additional use of the brakes kinda help seeing whats behind you.. ... - .- -.

I very much doubt these would fit the 405 but for anyone here with a more run of the mill vehicle these look fairly bright

I did wonder if there might be a single cluster LED bulb behind the lens so thanks for clarifying that Stan

The reversing lights on the ‘405 are the single, stand out, worst thing about the car. They are okay to signal that you’re reversing to other road users, but utterly hopeless to reverse on a narrow rural country lane There’s no practical way of upgrading the glow worms in the rear light clusters, so it’s auxiliary lighting only.

A friend and I are trying to work out an auxiliary lighting solution, taking power from the reversing light cable leading to the towing socket.

If you take power from the trailer socket the car may "think" you have a trailer attached ?

Try using a relay connected to the reverse lights & pick up a live feed from the rear fusebox. 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6

I have ordered a set of LED lights/reflectors that replace the original (passive) reflectors of the L322. The plan is to wire those into the reversing lights (the white LEDs). I'm sure the same can work for the L405 ? MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
