Hi all

Car come up with the restricted performance on my way back today. Tried switching on and off but it come back. Read with the tool and it come up with this? Any idea what this is suggesting?

Oh and when I clear the fault, it comes straight back again. When I click the “i” I get this info.....

Wasn’t 100% sure that code was the cause of my
Restricted performance issue as it’s been evident for a while. But having just been out monitoring values it looks like the sensor is faulty. The temp spikes to over 900 when driving, only for a split second. On gentle revs whilst on Park it spikes to over 400. This graph gives you an idea. This is whilst on my drive gently revving

M@r]{ if you've read the link spud posted above, you'll see that code definitely isn't the cause of your restricted.

Your car is fairly new, no? Just take it back.

If you bought privately, don't worry restricted without an error is almost always an air/intake leak.

The most common culprit are the four 'donut' hoses - search and you'll find out all about these, or another leak somewhere in this maze:

Mine's new to me, 2012, bought from a small dealer in Manchester. So taking it back not an option. I do have a WarrantyWise warranty on it. So if it is one of the donut hoses, are they expensive to sort?

BTW that write up on replacing the sensor is legendary!! Fantastic! The rounding off of the sensor is a bit worrying though. Is there any negative effect of this sensor misbehaving like this? If not I'm wondering whether to just leave it be, the idea of it rounding off and needing a manifold off job does not appeal!!

Most people have this error and it has no negative effect.
I replaced mine and haven't had any real difference or improvement.

Fingers crossed it is just one of those silicon hoses. I'll get the engine cover off in the morning and have a look. Found 1m of 70mm hose on ebay for just over £20. If I can get it delivered by next Friday I can ask the garage fitting my starter motor to do those as well
