BTW that write up on replacing the sensor is legendary!! Fantastic! The rounding off of the sensor is a bit worrying though. Is there any negative effect of this sensor misbehaving like this? If not I'm wondering whether to just leave it be, the idea of it rounding off and needing a manifold off job does not appeal!! |

Fingers crossed it is just one of those silicon hoses. I'll get the engine cover off in the morning and have a look. Found 1m of 70mm hose on ebay for just over £20. If I can get it delivered by next Friday I can ask the garage fitting my starter motor to do those as well |
