I’m intrigued why folks are taking the word of the guys who offer a driveway megaflush over the gearbox manufacturer.

It’s far easier and more convenient to not change the filter but if you really want to get the job done to manufacturers spec any competent Indy can do it - it’s not a difficult job. I’d question the claim that the filter will get cleaned by the megaflush. Also there are two magnets on the sump pan for collecting metal particles.

If you’re not sure give ZF UK a call - they have a very helpful tech support line.

Also not sure where folks are getting the prices from but the genuine ZF filter and 7 litres of lifeguard 8 are about £240.

this isn’t a job to shortcut and skimp a few quid on labour by not changing the filter.

I lived S. Bucks, now Bicester. I pm'd Bodsy about doing a megaflush for me about a year ago and he never replied. Others have posted more recently about a lack of reponse. Good luck! I am considering using STA in Aylesbury. Previously a 2008MY Tonga Green Vogue SE 3.6 TDV8

Bodsy came to me last Tuesday, to carry out the mega flush, all went to plan, took about two and a half hours.

Had mine done today at JGS. Great set up they have there and very knowledgeable. Dropped the car there this morning, dropped me at the station so I could head to my meeting in the big smoke, then collected on my way back. Gear changes feel smoother, not that it was bad before, but now I can't really tell its even changing gear! Not bad for a car with over 114k on the clock.

Also had the fluid in both diffs changed and the transfer box. Strangely they said the fluid in the rear diff was quite new, but the front one looked like it hadn't been changed?

Anyway, nice to know its all done and will hopefully help to ensure some trouble free motoring Very Happy

And not bad for £430 all in! (£280 for the flush and £150 for the diffs and transfer box)

Would definitely recommend these guys Thumbs Up
