Not sure, probably best to look on BMW forums, I have a 12 for sale if you need one. Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Text messaging everything on my iPhone works on the head unit except the text messages don’t come up. |

Still a bit lost, what would the head unit do? Play a notification that you have a message?

Yes you can also read the message on there and write a reply. When I got the mulf I could read all the text messages that were stored on it from the previous user but it doesn’t register the ones coming in on my phone. |

I put one in my TD6 and I’ve a feeling that text messages used to work and then they stopped. Think it was a software update on the phone that broke it. Things have moved on now, and newer SMS versions/standards etc won’t work on the ULF, as it’s too old now. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Cheers for that it’s just that I had seen Old write ups on the net where people had said they had it working. That’s probably the answer then new tech has passed them by. The later ulf are so expensive didn’t want to buy one if it won’t do anything more than mine already does. |

I think the main benefit of a later one is that it’s compatible with later phones.

Don't know whether it applies in this case but when I had my Td6 I refreshed my bluetooth module using the Gap iid to overcome a problem. John
