Had this service on mine recently, fortunately it is over 3 years old, they started off with you sort of cost and when challenged came down to Stan's cost immediately (thanks Stan).
I was quite angry that they were just taking the but as I will probably upgrade with in a year it may help the residual.
It took them 2 hours, cost them sod all in parts and their labour costs are minimal. So I am paying for the JLR vanity project of a new showroom cathedral.
How long before the penny drops to all the manufacturers that this business model is failing.

Stan, according to the LR website the fixed price for a L405 major service is £545 - How did you swing £420?

Mine's in next week and I thought I was doing well getting Harwoods to agree the fixed price of £545
