I just put a wireless charging pad ontop of the cooling box in the center console. Put the phone there and close the top. Charges and syncs to the car wireless... I don't see the point for a mount given you can access the phone/music from the cars screen.

I bought a phone holder unit from Halfords. It cost me a tenner. It didnt fit perfectly, but by a bit of slight modification to the suction cup cutting it roughly the same size as the little square area by the drivers side, the unit was made to fit perfectly with no movement whatsoever. It is adjustable so wont interfere with any of the steering controls and will tale most phones. I've even run the power lead behind the dash so there's no trailing leads either.
It certainly doesn't look out of place.
it doesn't cause any damage to the dash

That’s where my start/stop button is so cant use that part of the desk lol "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you.

Interesting thread. Like many my phone gets dropped in the cup holder where it fights with my sun glass's and keys.
It would be nice but naïve to think that in the design for the replacement FF that they will have a bespoke place for these 3 essentials. letters not necessarily in the right order

Sunglasses holder was a feature until something like MY15 - no idea why they took that away, though a few members have followed Craigs install and added one.

The L322 had one by the rear view mirror & the L405 under the door arm rests.

I loved the door compartments when I test drove the car but in real life they are difficult to access when in motion. letters not necessarily in the right order

Probably just as well....I,ve had a couple of panic moments driving when I've delved in to the lower compartment and had trouble getting my hand out again
