Dreaded Ipod / iPhone connection and compatibility

So,

Range Rover Westminster 2012 MY.

I have tried a cheap lead of ebay, my old Ipod and iphone with apple lighting connecter will not connect, at all.

So, I have bought and original LR lead, now the iPod still does nothing. The iPhone charges but will not connect.

Any Suggestions Please?

I have used the original LR cable from the cubby box and an original Apple 30 pin to lightning adapter and it works fine, including steering wheel controls.

I think the key to this is the original Apple adapter. So many of the proprietary makes do not have the required electronics in them to provide more that just charging facilities.

Bovee

So,

Now I have tried a bovee and that’s not working even with original lead ?

Could it be software or more likely a socket in the armrest

I say it doesn’t work

It connects and blue light is constant, but the bovee 1000 does not connect to ice
