Tried it again today, sat in the car with it locked and started remote climate using the app and would you believe it, cool air coming out this time. The air con was blowing whilst the app took an age to actually tell me it was on but not to worry, Im chuffed that it worked this time and take back my earlier remarks about it being crap 🥴

Having said the Remote app works perfectly, I now find I cannot heat the car using the iPhone app. When i go into the Remote app and select Climate I get a message which says "An error has occured with remote Climate....the window is open" But they aint!!

Anyone any ideas? The car had a new battery yesterday under warranty, but is it the app on the phone or the car which is faulty? All LR cars from 1984

For info, there is a new remote app which is better...contacts the vehicle swiftly. Remote start operates faster and a better interface. Yesterday it wouldn’t remote start saying a window was open...which is was fractionally.

So did you just delete the old and download the new one? Does it look different on Apple Store? All LR cars from 1984

Yes, I was seriously caught out by the fact there are two apps with the same name. The new app has the Land Rover logo set against a white background. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

It is a different appearance on the Apple store...white over green rather than green over black . All I did was download it and it picked up all my info without having to re-input it. The old app can then be deleted. Also, the app now appears on my iPad as well.

Great news! It’s always pleasing when an issue can be easily resolved like this. What made me download the new app was that the remote start refused to operate saying my pin code was incorrect which I knew it wasn’t . On the in control web site I changed the pin and still no joy...so I thought something was afoot, which made me look for an app update or a new app!

And yes... I’m a peanut importer...so if you see a FFRR heading down the M5 with NUT plates it’s me. My mother lives in Devon!

Dontcha just love these cars?

As my post above, I downloaded the "newer" version of Incontrol Remote on my phone and the Climate worked perfectly. Yesterday, freezing cold and it didn't work at all, it said "Windows open" which they weren't!

This morning the same warning and nothing worked! So, I deleted the app and downloaded it again. This time the phone downloaded the "older version" and guess what???? The Climate works again!!

The question is; is it the app or is it the car that is playing silly B's???  All LR cars from 1984

I prefer the older app - more intuitive, and the remote climate always works, which is definitely not the case with v2.0.1. I now have both on my phone at the same time!
