Phone Holder/Mounts

Hi Folks

Having crossed over from the D4 where the Brodit phone mounts were really good to a L405 I cannot find a decent mount from Brodit or anyone else so can you please show me some pics of where you have mounted your phones as opposed to the centre cup holders etc Thumbs Up

I don't like covering the air vents as they either blow hot or cold air and I really don't want to subject my phone to that Wink "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you.

Stan, as it says in my post the Brodit ones are pi** poor for the L405 so looking for alternatives Thumbs Up "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.

ADI, that’s just another cr** Brodit mount as I mentioned in my original post and won’t allow me to fit my phone mount and phone into it due to the angle of its face and the dash Exclamation Exclamation "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.

Why do you need a phone mount when info is displayed on the screen ?

I like to see my phone’s home screen, I like to have a dedicated place to keep it and sometimes I’ll run both Waze on my phone and the LR sat nav at the same time.

Somewhere to store it as my cup holders are full and I like to see it as not everything connects through the car Thumbs Up "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.

LT, do you have the 2 screens or is your FF like the pic with the single screen at the top - mine is the double screen and my concern is the gap around the side and will it damage the screen. Also, the angle of the holder face is not great looking at the pics and I am not sure if my phone mount once screwed in place will allow the phone to be placed into the holder Exclamation

Let me know how you get on and a pic of it fitted would help Thumbs Up "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.

I bought a phone holder unit from Halfords. It cost me a tenner. It didnt fit perfectly, but by a bit of slight modification to the suction cup cutting it roughly the same size as the little square area by the drivers side, the unit was made to fit perfectly with no movement whatsoever. It is adjustable so wont interfere with any of the steering controls and will tale most phones. I've even run the power lead behind the dash so there's no trailing leads either.
It certainly doesn't look out of place.
it doesn't cause any damage to the dash or surfaces either.

If you can lose an air vent then these are brilliant. I have an iPhone XS Max and it can hold it solid.
