Best way to remove sloe gin stains from loadspace carpet?

Don’t all laugh at once......

Out shooting earlier this week and at elevenses it was decided that the best ‘bar’ was the fatty’s tailgate. So I pressed the button and an opened bottle and glasses were left there for folk to help themselves. All well and good, but after a few minutes the tailgate decided to close itself! So the open bottle tipped and spilt. Now most of the spill was contained on the bootliner, but a small amount dripped into the corner. Problem is my car has oatmeal coloured carpet and whilst a small stain, I see it each time I open the tailgate and it annoys me...

So fellow enthusiasts, how would you remove it?

Any advice gratefully received!

Best to turn off keyless entry as it disables gesture tailgate and prevents spaniels for spilling the Slogasms

There's a full set on eBay but the wrong colour....
