Heated windscreen connectors

Recently had a new heated windscreen put in on my 2006 TD6 L322. Switching on the heated windscreen seems to produce no demisting effect whatsoever.
I would like to check whether the installers bothered to connect up the heating elements.
Can anyone tell me how many connections there are and how to get to them please?

There are 2 per side

One set just does the wiper area and the other set the entire screen - and they are the same size. Mine were done incorrectly after a windscreen swap & I got AutoGlass back out to fix it.

They just removed the pillar covers - there's a plastic airbag thing on the pillar - that's just a cap that flips out with a screwdriver - then a screw behind that to release the pillar trim Thumbs Up

You can actually feel the windscreen get warm with your hand - maybe obvious, but I didn't know before that - I thought I'd have to wait to test it, but the AutoGlass guy taught me that one.

Not too sure, but I believe there are two connectors to the screen, one for each side and they can be found under the A pilar trims. And there are also heated washerwipers connections which may be in there.

BUT, if it was working prior to replcement, surely you should require the installer to reinstate.

Couple of threades to help.
