Differences in later style led dash

Hi all,
Whilst looking at recent posts I've seen some differences in people's dashes.

My car (2011 model ab black) doesn't seem to have a digital speedo option, but seen others displaying it.
Was this a software update,or just on later 2011 cars ?

I'm wondering what other differences there are.
For example, Do you have the option to display actual tyre pressures ?

Cheers,
John. Too many toys, not enough time

The digital speedometer has to be enabled with a GAP IID tool. As far as I know it didn't come enabled as standard on any model.

I don't believe it is possible to view tyre pressures in the car. You just get a warning when a tyre(s) drops below the minimum PSI.

Hope this helps

Thanks.
I need someone local with a gap tool to enable it then, as I don't have one.
What else can be enabled ?

I wondered about the tpms display as my wife's sport has it in the service menu (much later car though), so wondered if there were other things I don't have. Too many toys, not enough time

Sadly you need to find someone with a IID tool pro as the standard IID tool is locked to a vehicles VIN number. The pro version doesn't have this restriction.

The other option is to pay to have your VIN added to someone else's standard IID tool.

Another option which can be enabled is daytime running lights which permanently illuminates the fairy lights/halos in the headlights so long as the ignition is on.

I have both features enabled on mine Thumbs Up

I would recommend buying your own IID as it is invaluable for all sort of diagnosis, fault clearing, live value reading and CCF changes such as DRL and the Digital Speedo.
They also hold their value extremely well Thumbs Up Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

If you mean this digital speedo - yes it’s IID tool that will enable it. There are also 15 other speedo designs but I haven’t gone through them all yet as it takes too long to change the CCF files and everything resets. The first one I tried changed the Rev Counter to a supercharged one though!

Yep that's the one.
I already have an obd tool, so investing in a LR specific one was not high on my list (I might rethink that)
Shame you can't change these settings using other tools. Too many toys, not enough time
