Well. I've been lurking on here for over a year so high time I made a contribution.

Bought the Rangie last year, I was looking for a replacement for my 25 year old Disco 1. She had been in the family for 16 years but rust had finally got the better of her. I'd looked at a few dodgy D2s before spotting the rangie. What drew my attention was the mileage, a mere 62K. A check back through MOTs seemed to prove it genuine. Service book has some stamps, mostly local garages and not main stealers. Pretty much original, apart from the head unit. Everything seemed to work, poke around underneath, a test drive and I was hooked.

All was well until the suspension stopped, one new compressor later and fixed. Then the air con stopped, condenser! Then the MOT and a fail......rust. Sills were not good. Been welding land rovers for 20 years, but passed on this job and had it done locally. Had my fill of lying on my back welding.

On the shopping list are some tyres, 18" wheels so choice will hopefully be good. She gets used off road on 'The Plain', so ATs are going on.

Will be keeping her as she is, no mods or bling. Added privacy glass, mainly for the dog, but that will be it.

Still no sure about the Sport bit on the tail gate, not seen another with SE Sport on the back!

Welcome to the mad house, good choice however I would get rid of the SE Sport badges, no such thing in an FF, cheers

as above , no such thing as a FF sport...
