aeroblades yes or no?

Ive read a few of the big threads regarding flat blades ( aeroblades)

People that have fitted them and had them for some time, is it worth it?

My wipers well i think the driver one in particular makes a little noise on the end of the stroke, im thinking of fitting the areoblades but i have read that some people said they didnt fit all that well and i belive Stan actually said he drilled a hole and put a self tapper in Shocked ???

So before i take the plunge is there some that are a nice tight good fit and are they worth it?

If so what ones are people buying? Regards

Daz

I fitted these Bosch Aero Blades, ADA 62-621, last year and they are IMO a great improvement. Wouldn't have anything else now.

As per other links you have to remove the original ends to the the wiper arm but then they are a push fit. I think Stan might have being doing a "belt and braces" job screwing it as well. Smile John

mine fitted but were just a bit loose so to stop them flying off at motorway speed i drilled a small hole and put a self tapper in to secure it...overkill maybe but peace of mind for me.. ... - .- -.

Dazza,
no none at all.
I'm on my 3rd set now - the ones I've bought were recommended on here and seem to last around a year before the blade starts to split & need replacing.
They've worked perfectly until the split develops & then noticeably don't wipe well - lol. Key thing is when they split they don't damage the screen & I've always replaced blades annually anyway - so no extra pain.
I can't remember the brand (they're not the Bosch ones), they're bought via ebay at relatively low cost & even cheaper if you buy 2 sets at once.

Edit just found the order - they're "HQ" on ebay here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HQ-Windscreen-W...2749.l2649 Paul,

Don`t throw away the plastic bit`s you have to remove to fit the aero blades as if you want to refit the old type it will cost £10
for the parts Big Cry

so ive ordred the aero blades...

Any advice on removing the plastic parts?

Also duckworths have just quoted me £2.80 for the pair of new plastic parts so either the £10 is way out or i have missed a part off???

IM assuming its just 1 x plastic peice per wiper arm like this

https://www.amazon.co.uk/HoganeyVan-Retain...7772730767

and nothing else? Regards
