Damn thing keeps not working. Indicators work perfectly, but the 'ticker' doesn't always 'tick' if that makes sense. Does anyone know where the flasher module lives and if it's an easy to get at and replace job or do you have to completely dismantle the car and take the engine out? Thanks. Drives:

You can access it by crawling up the exhaust pipe and through the engine. Or if you prefer:


The direction indicators are controlled by the LCM (Light Control Module), which is tucked in behind the trim of the footwell to the right of the accelerator pedal (on RHD vehicle). It just bolts to the bodywork at the bottom of the A-pillar. Once out, it should come apart fairly easily with a few screws.  John

Things are never simple are they? I decided to give the trip up the back end a miss (ooh err missus, etc!) and opted to just listen to it, guess what? The LCM may well be behind the footwell trim, but whatever makes the ticking sound is somewhere around the instrument cluster. I think I'll live with it! Drives:
