In the long term will the black pack make the vehicle look dated and or lower the value? |

Have been toying with this for a while mine is on 185k still going strong and is virtually immaculate and drives like new as I have replaced all suspension bushes and wheel bearings drive shafts etc

It will appeal to some & make the car more desirable. It will have the opposite effect for others....

I’m also searching for a L405 and actually missed out one on I now wish I had purchased because I wrestled with the black pack debate.

SWMBO insists that I buy petrol as it is better for the environment -- who am I to argue? |

Isn't that like pushing at an open door? |

I bought all the parts and changed mine to having a black pack as i like the look! If it means the residuals will suffer then i have the old "silver" parts to go back on... Simples |

I did the same, packed all the silver stuff carefully away and could easily restore to the original trim |

I do too many miles to worry about residuals and so far still have all the RR that I have bought

When I started looking for an L405 after I sold my L322, the black pack edition really caught my eye. I purchased a 2016 with 17k miles in Corris Gray with the black pack and the (i believe) the 7007 22" autobiography wheels with the black/gray spokes. I have never received so many compliments. An absolutely stunning vehicle. I have no idea what "projects the wrong image" means.

IMHO the black pack looks stunning and really freshens the L405. I can't see any negative effect on values or dating effect as a result of the black pack being fitted.

Its all personal choice. As many will not like it as those who do. Same is true of paint colour, interior seat colour, trim colour, etc

Those Corris grey cars look really good with black pack. My black one I'm not so sure. Murdered would probably be the correct description. |
