Whistling noise from drivers dash vent

I'm a newbie here with my 2011 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 tdv8. I have an annoying whistling coming from the right side dash vent. If I close the vent it gets quieter but it is still noticeable. Is there a common fault or cure before I start having a look? Thanks Kevin.

It is quite a while since I had a similar problem, so details are a bit blurred,... but I remember how I stopped it.

Remove the cabin air filter box,...very simple, just 2 nuts, then it lifts out.
Clean it out and fit a new paper filter.

Get a blower, ( I used a vacuum cleaner on blow) and blow from inside the car through each of the vents before re-fitting the air box and filter to clear any debris.

Thanks for the reply mate. I've had the filter box out and had to glue the seal back in place. Will try reverse blowing the vents out. Cheers Kev.

I’ve had a similar problem - but it wasn’t a problem really. The passenger side window wasn’t fully closed, I suspect yours might actually be more difficult but I did have SWMBO listening carefully to the vent before she discovered it was the window - obviously my fault 🥺 Geoff
