Need help - continual beeping after locked 3.6 TDV8 2007 VSE

Hi Everyone,
Not sure how to find in the manual about which beep means what. I did look through the manual but found nothing to help. Having searched Google several times I don't find the kind of beeping I am getting, just folks talking about two beeps after locking the car and that is not what I am seeing. So I thought I would ask here....

When locked and left for a while, sometimes the car beeps quite quietly and indicators flash. Is this the alarm going off? I hardly hear it if I am inside, so not really much use in alerting me if someone was trying to steal it. I thought car alarms were loud for a reason. So maybe this is not an alarm?

I just unlock, and re lock and usually that solves it, as far as I can tell.

Can anyone let me know what this beeping/flashing is ?
Thanks
Mark

Thanks Smile

Thought I had already done that, but it turns out I did that on another car, and the RR battery is six years old. Will keep this in mind.

Battery condition was pretty healthy last time I looked, charging well, holding well at rest.

Any ideas what the beeps mean ? Or are you saying it is a flat battery alert?

Could be alarm, try disconnecting bonnet switch - usually the most likely suspect. .

Thanks Joe, will take a look. It did it twice yesterday PM, once the night before, and once last night, and now....silence. If it does it again I'll disconnect bonnet switch and monitor.
Cheers

Sometimes it can be a spider or moth in the car. I got this on my FFRR and Volvo after taking a lot of garden waste to the tip. They don't live all that long - unless you can find them first. My Audi didn't like big black bags in the rear seats - just being there was enough to upset the interior sensors Surprised .

Ah-haa...there was a lady bird in there yesterday that eluded me when I tried to capture and release it.

Cheers

I think the alarm system is sensitive to a battery being past its best, I had same problem and it disappeared following battery change out
