Where to buy a new iPad

I need to buy an iPad for a christmas present, and am after the 10.2" 2019 (or 2018) model, with 128Gb. The main retailers are about £440 (amazon, John Lewis etc)

Have seen a few online for about £360 ish but apparently the sellers are in Hong Kong, so is this a bit dodgy?

Where would you guys buy one from?

I bought my last iPhone X from e bay , private seller, using filters , unopened, uk , new ... I had two false starts ( sellers changed their minds) but got it right in the end,
Lots of refurbished phones , so assume iPads , with guarantees also available

U.K. seller is a must , as a Hong Kong purchase you won’t see or will be a clone Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

I suggest you wait a couple of weeks.
My reason being, for the last couple of years John Lewis have offered a “special deal for Christmas “, selling them at same price, but with a 3 year warranty, rather than the 2 year they normally offer.

My iPad mini has just got to 3rd Birthday, so expecting it to fail any day now out of warranty Rolling with laughter

Check small print before purchasing.

I always use John Lewis as any problems whatsoever it is replaced FOC with no arguments or back and forth calls and e mails. I believe they also price match?

I think you need to decide what is important: price or after sales.
The safest after sales is probably John Lewis, yes.
Best price will be from China! Especially while exchange rates are partially recovering due to promise of a Brexit deal.

I actually buy my Apple products from Apple stores, having said that. I must be one of their top customers and I've never had an issue, so I have never tested their after sales service....

John Lewis for piece of mind same price as Apple store and better warranty and do a deal on old stock I`m off to them today to return a TV with 3 days left on a 5 year warranty.
As it`s a present you don`t want any come back as they keep records.
