Had this in my e46 M3..

1st question did it go away when rear demister was switched off?

if yes then somewhere probably on a antenna there will be some small amount of corrosion when this happens the signal from the rear demister causes interference with the Ariel / antenna module Regards

Probably the window ones bud

The bmw ones were rear pillars which were super close to the rear windows.

You can try cleaning up the connections and could also try if possible re positioning the module or wires. Either of which should help. Regards
