Can’t say I’ve ever worried in all the years I’ve had land rovers or range rovers with air suspension. I’ve pretty much thrown a trolley jack under and never had any problems. Is it a myth that you should have a door open so the suspension doesn’t try to level itself? I know there’s a button up by the sunroof on mine that’s got a pic of a recovery truck thingy on it. Should this be used? Sorry done a search but can’t find anything.

Yes go out and press the recovery truck button.

If you have deployable steps the jacking point is different

So the air suspension thing is a load of b****x then. It’s just plain old common sense.

My tyre shop always goes thru the motions of door open boot open indicators and other
switches on and off when changing the tyre

Is it to make the procedure a mystery and more expensive? Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

A rather late comment, however my local tyre fitter lock the suspension as per the option on the centre console buttons before jacking the car up
