Is it necessary to reset any counter when doing oil change ?

I've just bought a L322, 4.4 tdv8, the dealer I bought it from said that the oil was changed, but when I asked what oil they used he couldn't answer.

So, to be on the safe side, I've ordered the correct oil ( has per Land Rover's owners manual ) in this case, Millers Long life C1 5W30 .

I've read how it is done, and it sounds like an easy thing to do, my only concern is, don't I need to reset some sort of maintenance meter ? and if I do, how is it done ?
