I’m sure that will help the second hand prices enormously !

On that note as we see the new prices steadily marching upwards to new peaks, why don’t the second hand prices follow...

Bill Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

Perhaps because with all those gadgets there’s a lot more to go wrong on an older car out of warranty = more costs? --

I’ve been through the current brochures and spec. sheets and can’t find any reference to it in either car - which might even mean that neither now have it.

It reminded me that the SDV8 comes with the active rear diff though - which, if you use the off road screen, you can see it regularly switching between locked and open, even on road!

Maybe it’s because many buyers swap their used cars more often that once every two years and the dealer (and hence the buyer) are having to pay for two years, yet only using one. I’ve crazily done that three times in seven years!

LR will not have started fitting conventional shocks to the L405 in place of the CVDs as the ride and handling with CVDs is far superior to that of conventional shocks. L405s have always been fitted with CVDs which started as standard fitment with the MY11 L322.

Continuously Variable Damper = Active suspension as it firms up when needed for cornering, but then eases off in a straight line to improve ride quality

On the warranty question - I thought Approved Used always used to be 1 year - it only changed to 2 years around 4 years ago - so they must have had a noticeable negative impact to revert again

The difference is the hydraulic anti-roll system which isn’t fitted to the V6.

Even on the newer SDV6 ones?

What is the LR speak for it as I can't seem to find it on the SDV8 or SDV6 L405s ?

The only difference between the two engines is the active diff on the SDV8
