The graphics are actually pretty good, almost as good as my laptop. Very simple to use.

They are great for surfing on the sofa while my wife is watching some tosh on the TV. Mine gets a lot of use. To the extent that I thought a wifi-only one was an ideal solution but now I want to take it with me on business trips. I have bought a mifi to allow me to use it whilst out and about.

Annoyances?

1. The lack of flash support. This isn't due to the lack of porn (the wife would be a bit shocked if I started cracking one out as she watched CSI) but rather that people post links to youtube and other video sites and you can't click though and watch.

You can open the page, see the title and then go to the youtube app and search. Too tedious to bother to see a clip of a sneezing panda that you've seen before anyway.

2. The predictive text is a pain. It can be turned off but 6/10 times it's a help, 4/10 it's a hindrance.

I use my iPad every day and have ditched the laptop. Not having flash player is a pain and some MSOffice documents are difficult to open if sent via email. But all in all, I love it, and it follows me around the house, best gadget in the house, SWMBO and the little one use it when it's not in my hands. I also have a problem with missing the spacevbar andchitting v c instead sometimes! Current MY2020

If you also subscribe to mobile me then you can also share all your documents from another computer with it too, I recently went to a meeting in London with none of the papers printed out, just read them off my iPad using the Pages app. Mine is the 3g and wireless version, it's a great piece of kit for the travelling businessman - just look how many appear out of briefcases if you have to travel on flights with lots of business folks on them. Also if you are flying with a smartphone or ipad these days you don't even need to print out the boarding pass, save it to your device and the security at the airport can still scan the "barcode" area at the top right of the onscreen boarding pass. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Japan 2011 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Santorini Black

I am a self confessed early adopter, and didn't really think i needed an iPad when they first came out. but found myself being unable to resist and now apparently I am never without mine!

for example, today I spent 3 hours at the local stealers waiting for them to cobble together their pitiful excuses!! sat drinking their Censored coffee with ipad, iphone and mifi from 3*. functioned as if i was in front of my pc in my office, no loss in productivity Thumbs Up

*i also seriously recommend this little device, I visit a lot of companies where security issues prevent using their network, and their "guest" wifi sucks. http://threestore.three.co.uk/broadband/?mifi=1&id=1184

I have no issues with you tube on the websites i visit Wink
Flash support...........Meh...........got used to it
there are a ton of good apps out there for reading and writing office type documents (currently using quick office), as well as syncing with various cloud based data sites.
even webex is flawless

I cant imagine not having access to everything immediately (books, movies, newspaper, magazines, travel apps, games and social networks)

so for me it goes beyond a gadget (something you don't really need, but definitely want) and has become an extremely useful tool.

right now I am trying to avoid temptation for an ipad2 (must not crumble and buy one on the 11th) , no big advantage, and the already rumoured iPad3 sounds much more tempting and not a huge wait. Gerry
