Not heard of one on the forum, usually other components; sensors, valves, compressor, bags, pipework that cause EAS problems.... .

I have a two year old compressor all new sensors. System not leaking holds pressure fine just not working as it should and shutting its self down. If I clear it I might do 500 yards before it drops out or it may be ok for 3 or 4 days. |

Yes but very slowly. What makes me think there is a problem with the ecu is that the software keeps saying that communication with the module has been interrupted. |

BMW Ipna set to e53 I have used it successfully before on the suspension to calibrate etc. You can also monitor the valves opening and shutting when lifting and lowering. The only thing that seems out of the ordinary is the compressor relay doesn’t always kick in when lifting. Have put a new relay in and no change. Pressure is currently siting at 11.2 bar which is well within range so compressor is obviously ok it should be because it was new 2 years ago.

-02 L322 has unique EAS firmware compared to other MY L322. It has possibility to calibrate offroad, normal and access levels separately. I wonder if BMW E53 INPA scripts have those? Could it be that those calibrations are not aligned and EAS goes nuts? After calibrating all levels with IIDTool my -02 L322 EAS has been trouble free since. -08 3.6 Vogue

The bmw software does the same thing you can set all three heights. I had compressor problems a couple of years back fitted a new compressor and re calibrated it with the bmw software and it’s been fine since. Level is not a problem it’s the fact that it keeps turning it’s self of for no apparent reason. It can be sat flat on the drive and do it or it will drive fine for a couple of days then suddenly turn off. |

Can you get to off road height and lift each corner manually (back to wheelarch, hands under wheelarch), listening for hissing?

I recently had a front air bag leak intermittently causing the odd issue I suggest putting it in off road height and turning the steering lock to lock and get some soapy spray on the air bag and see if it's a leak assist the mostly likely cause |

Have checked for leaks. I don’t think the compressor is running I think it’s intermittent for some reason. |
