I would guess it is the FSR that has failed it is a fairly common problem. Mine failed earlier this year it leaves the fan running till battery is flat. I got a BMW one of the internet and replaced it myself with help of YouTube and this forum - it is located behind lower dash panel between steering column and centre console on a right hand drive - quite fiddly to do . 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23

I have located the noise, it seems to come from behind the battery, I tried to replace the fsr relay, but without success |

It could be the FSR, not the FSR relay.

If the fan noise comes from behind the battery it's possible the fan in the fuel burning heater is coming on due to a fault.

Update, I spent the Sunday disassembling the car, doing all the tests, and I realized that the FBH is always on, in fact, besides having downloaded the battery, it drank me a lot of fuel without me turning .....

The FBH is controlled by a printed circuit board located within the casing of the unit itself. These pcb's regularly fail after a number of years. |
