new towbar - praise for supplier and fitters

its not often a miserable old sod like me has praise to offer Very Happy

but credit where its due

supplier of towbar was P F Jones Ltd on recommendation of a forum member nbunney - thanks to you!

fitters were Automonitor Mobile Multimedia Ltd of Leicester - took two guys nearly three hours in the freezing cold

superb job and excellent coms to an owner asking stupid questions Smile

they also paired my nokia phone to the bluetooth system at no cost - i'd spent several hours trying to figure it out

so i'd have no reservation about fully recommending both companies

£360 fully fitted and using genuine RR electrics - witter bar (fixed) did not want detachable due to limitations of fitting 'plates' if needing to tow anything large

local cowboys were asking £500+ - but when they hear RR they think its a licence to print money Very Happy

I wanted the factory fit item but didnt want to spend the factory price.

I found that main chassis part (armature?) was available as a Westfalia part (OEM) for around £100 from Towequipe.

I then just added the removable ball & carrier form ebay and the genuine plug in electrics.

Part numbers are all downloadable from the Westfalia website.

Incidentally if anyone has the flange fit ball and male part for the standard removable Range Rover carrier I woudl be interested as I need to have a flange fit for my motorbike carrier.
