Just to update this in case it helps anyone else,

Occasionally my 2015 4.4 AB would stall at slow speed. No fault codes but then it showed code P0088-17(6C) Fuel rail pressure too high - general electrical failure. I spoke with LR but they had no idea so i googled it but again nothing but the code came up on a Russian site. The site mentioned Technical Bulletin LTB01083 which descibes my issue exactly. LR produced a repalcement part which cost 20stg and takes about 15 mins to fit and resloves the issue.

Below i have posted the procedure as described in the technical bulletin

SECTION:
303-14

SUBJECT/CONCERN:
Engine Hesitation/Stall At Low Vehicle Speed

MARKETS:
ASIA PACIFIC; EUROPE; OVERSEAS

CONDITION SUMMARY:
SITUATION:
A customer may express a concern that at low vehicle speed the engine hesitates or stumbles. In some circumstances as a result of the low vehicle speed the customer may report that the hesitation or stumble has resulted in the engine stalling. The engine will restart by cycling the ignition.

If the engine has stalled the customer may also express a concern that:
• The Touchscreen has changed and is now displaying the 4x4i – Terrain response/4x4 information.

• 'D' is flashing on the Transmission Control Switch (TCS) and Instrument Cluster (IC).

• The charge warning indicator is illuminated.

A technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0088-17 (Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High - Circuit voltage above threshold) stored in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
CAUSE:
Intermittent electrical connection. Suggested customer concern code MU4.

ACTION:
Should a customer express this concern, follow the service instruction below.

PARTS:
NOTE:
The glue lined heat shrink can be obtained from the harness repair kit (part number 418-104). They can also be sourced locally and claimed by ZZZ001 at a value of £0.75 per repair.

SERVICE INFORMATION:
CAUTION:
It is important when completing wiring repairs the appropriate equipment is used.

For instruction on the repair of wiring harnesses see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 418-02 Wiring Harnesses - Wiring Harness Repair.
SERVICE INSTRUCTION:
NOTES:
Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential information is always correct.

Some components shown removed for clarity.

Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Disconnect the battery ground cable (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section: 414-00 Battery and Charging System - General Information - Specifications).
Remove the left air cleaner (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section: 303-12E: Intake Air Distribution and Filtering - TDV8 4.4L Diesel ).
E209719
Remove the Dynamic Response fluid reservoir retaining bolt and place the fluid reservoir to the side.
Torque: 5 Nm
E209716
Remove the retaining stud to allow access to the fuel pressure sensor electrical connector.
E210656
Remove and discard the fuel pressure sensor electrical wiring harness conduit.
E210658
Remove and discard the fuel pressure sensor electrical wiring harness.
E210659
Locate the blue/brown (BU/BN) wire in position 2 of the electrical connector (CW11-W1) on the engine wiring harness.
Cut the wire and prepare for a splice connector.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the wire labelled '2' is the first connection to be made. This wire has been labelled as there are 2 blue/brown wires in the link harness and they must not be interchanged.

E210660
Locate the wire labelled '2' on the fuel pressure sensor link harness.
Prepare this wire for a crimp connector.
E210661
Install the fuel pressure sensor link harness.
NOTES:
On all of the wiring connections to be made the heat shrink must be installed before the splice connector is installed onto the wire.

Do not apply heat to the heat shrink in this step.

E210662
Install the heat shrink onto the blue/brown (BU/BN) wire of the engine wiring harness.
E210664
Install the fuel pressure sensor link harness to the engine wiring harness with the splice connector.
E210663
Position the heat shrink over the splice connector.
Using a suitable tool, apply heat to the heat shrink.
NOTES:
The remaining 2 wires on the fuel pressure sensor link harness will require cutting to an appropriate length. They should be cut so the splice connectors are staggered along the length of the repair.

The colors of the fuel pressure sensor link harness are the same as the engine wiring harness.

Repeat steps 10-12 on the remaining 2 wires of the fuel pressure sensor link harness.
E210665
Secure the wiring harness with tape provided in the fuel pressure sensor link harness kit.
E210666
Cut the wiring conduit supplied in the fuel pressure sensor link harness kit to a suitable length to cover the wiring repair..
Install the conduit as shown using the tape from the fuel pressure sensor link harness kit.
To install, reverse the removal procedure. 2015 4.4 AB

P0088-17 (6C) Fuel rail/system pressure

I have just started experiencing the same problem on my 2015 4.4 L405.

First symptom was a stall at a junction. Next day into limp mode on start up. This will only clear by clearing the fault code P0088-17 (6C) Fuel rail/system pressure with my IID tool.

The next day same issue again on engine start up.

I'm still under warranty so booking it into Dealers next week.... along with the suggestion from Dolph34 as to the fix 2015 Range Rover L405 SDV8 AB Corris grey

Turns out i'm having the exact same issue but LR108438 is on back order and my RR is stuck in Restricted Mode.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could work around this issue?

Is the 4.4TDV8 used by any other manufactures?

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

I had a similar issue with this loom, but different fault codes to the TB (I had P0191-17 & P0191-85), resulting in the Touchscreen displaying the 4x4i – Terrain response/4x4 information and restricted performance.

I didn't fancy cutting the loom, so I first tried cleaning up the connectors etc that didn't work so then replaced the loom like for like rather than a repair kit and it has been fine ever since - touch wood! £20 and 5 minutes to replace it on the car Thumbs Up if it goes again they I would probably use the repair kit.

I posted about it here: https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic64426.html Sold - Bell a 2015 MY16 Loire Blue Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
