Blind spot mirror upgrade nightmare!

Blind spot nightmare!
There certain options you wish had on your ride. 1. I miss >adaptive cruise control and blind spot mirrors.
Two close calls not noticing someone in your blind spot.
Well I step up and acquired mirrors with camera and blind spot.
I figured this was a pretty much plug and play on the mirrors. Was I wrong.
I got lucky rear blind spot modules where factory installed.
I spent a lot of time trying to get the right mirror module recognized with no luck \.
Left side will work if you cycle the on/off.
Right side will only be recognized downloading software.
I need to change cff files, but where?
It seems when I try to upload it will not recognize right spot module.
I need help.
look at the photos

I'll have a look later at what my IIDTool shows for my MY12 that was built with blind spot monitor.

I can only find 2 references in the IIDTool's full CCF display, both having the description "Side object detection" with the 1st having the options of undefined, not fitted or fitted and the 2nd having only the options of fitted or not fitted.

I noticed that my power-fold mirrors have the description fitted with logic.

I need to find a way to change the original CFF? I got the Globe closing to work. Instrument panel reads side object fault.
I can get the blind spot to work on the left side by cycling the ignition, then it will work. What I mean when I first start the car ,left blind will not go on, when I shut it off and turn it on the left side will work. It also turns off the blind spot fault on the IP.

I seen that tick logic mirrors?
There's something I'm missing Big Cry

The cause could be a wiring fault (eg improperly fitted connector) or a fault with the mirror itself or software needs updating, probably the BCM and possibly also the door module.

No its CCF fault. I have to program the BCM to turn on the right blind spot module.
I'm missing a code or option to trigger turn on.

I wondered if the 2 entries listed by my IIDTool were for left and right and if so then the descriptions could do with the extra left/right notation. Perhaps driver and passenger sides?

Still working on it. Can anyone steer me in the right direction to fix this problem.
Someone out there knows how to solve my problem.

Did you ever solve the issue? Im currently trying to program my system I retrofitted. Im seeing two option for "Side Object Detection" one lets me choose "Fitted" or "Not Fitted". Another shows "Undefined", "Without side object (blind spot) detection system", "Side object (blind spot) detection system with radar 'Direct LED'", and finally "Side object (blind spot) detection system with rear traffic detection". I am not sure for the second which I should do. My issue is that the amber light is remaining permanently on when im in park, drive (at various speeds), and in reverse.

I only found in the CCF "side impact detection" as "fitted" in mine which has blind spot monitoring. Perhaps if I had selected the option rather than "no changes" then more options may have been shown. I'll have another look a little later.

I thought that rear traffic detection wasn't available on the L322.

Sounds good, these are the options I have. For the second picture its set to the third options of " Side Object (blind spot) detection system with radar 'Direct LED'". IID wanted me to update my BCM so I did and even then I can't turn the BSM on or off in the instrument cluster. So I am unsure if maybe the Gap tool can't or if the radar modules are faulty. As I mentioned, Im just currently driving around with both amber lights on but no faults. The only faults are U2102-00 (control module configuration incompatible), this fault is in both SOD radars but the Gap tool didn't show them, my shops Autel did

Mine doesn't have options other than fitted / not fitted. Perhaps US vehicles got a later configuration file. In case its significant, I spotted Side Camera - both left and right.

With regard to no faults being shown by the IIDtool, mine has in the faults advanced section, failed, pending and confirmed selected. One of those wasn't set when I bought the tool and it didn't show some faults that I knew were stored as shown by another diagnostic tool until the 3rd one was set.

I hadn't realised that I had already posted mine's side object settings earlier in the thread.

At this point Ive verified the component I got. The brackets are mounted correctly, the modules and parts came off the same year Range Rover, and the mirrors are attached properly. I have no idea what else I could try, Im pretty sure its an issue with the Gap tool since I can't even get the menu to pop up in my instrument cluster

I use my Android phone with my Gap tool, not the instrument cluster.

I'm with Graeme on this.

I assume your GAP is a Bluetooth, which if I am correct is designed to work with Anroid/iPhone rather than the car's instument cluster. Cheers
