should be around 2-3 hours...the best way to do it is to plug the usb in and leave it there until its fully loaded ..you can stop and start as many times as you like and it will resume loading on your next trip.. ... - .- -.

Also, be aware that you will have no sat nav and no music during the update |

the ignition needs to be on so leaving it to upload without overnight wont work...but leaving the ignition on for a long period will flatten the battery.. ... - .- -.

You must have a fairly slow internet connection then - don't worry, it takes me about 12-15 hours to download map updates to the USB stick. The good news is I have found with the inControl Touch Pro system it only takes 20-30 minutes to load the new maps from the USB stick. As mentioned the ignition needs to be on and engine running for the duration of the update. |

From the owners handbook -
Also it is strongly recommended to use a USB3.0 device due to the size of the files being transferred - anything else may result in much longer times to load the map updates. Last edited by Fifth Horseman on 15th Aug 2019 7:24am. Edited 1 time in total |

For a 2015 vehicle the only official option is to buy a USB key with the map and an activation code from here. However the map data is from late 2017.

Where are these maps downloaded from and are they any better than the original Ladybird book of roads that came with the car. letters not necessarily in the right order |
