Lately the audio on my FF has started briefly cutting out. Driving along listening to the radio, there’s an audible “pop” sound, the radio will cut out and the orange light on the volume knob will flash a few times. Then the sound will come back on after maybe 3 or 4 seconds

Noticed that playing CDs it gets a bit confused as well - randomly going back to the start of a track halfway through, occasional dropouts etc

Anyone seen this before? I’m thinking I should pull the amp and check for water ingress. Maybe something else on the MOST bus? 09 RR Westminster 3.6TDV8 - Stornoway Grey / Black interior - now gone (sad face)

There is a post somewhere about the cables in the rear cubby going behind a metal plate and one of the was rubbing -- it happened to be I bus or K bus, it was enough to throw the system into a complete wobble as data was corrupted -- I'd put money on that or the MOST system Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I’ll have a poke around in the back at the weekend. It’s not a case of freezing entirely, plus I have the newer non-Nokia Bluetooth module so I don’t think it’s that. I’ll keep it mind though.

I did have the battery disconnected recently to install a new brake light switch but didn’t do a hard reset. Is it really just a case of taking the leads off the battery and touching them together? Is there a spark or anything? Batteries scare the crap out of me!

You watch out with your use of the word rubbage

Yes to the hard reset, let everything sleep, then disconnect, then hold the cables together for a while -- capacitor discharges and all that -- then you should be good to go Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
