Im getting the feeling filtran make pretty much all of them......

the gen LR ones are filtran
the ZF ones are filtran
im pretty sure that the oem ones sold in many places are filtran

Meyle are a decent brand. Ive just replaced a load of bits on the M3 with Meyle HD parts. They seem good quality. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Just had mine done (flush and pan) at 107k miles , oil that came out was pretty clean but previous owner just did motorway miles and no towing to 86K , I tow so thought it was prudent , rear diff oil came out spotless , front diff mucky and xfer box 1/2 mucky .
Flush was done by a friend at MPB 4X4 in Keighley , the rest done by me (I don't have a flush machine !), just under £400 but I get a decent discount being trade and sending him the odd job I don't want to do .
Seems to change smoother at low speed though .

Having done mine yesterday it is noticeably smoother through the gears. 60k and some towing/spirited driving. Total cost of the DIY job, no more than £180.

4.5 litres out. New Pan fitted, 4.5 litres back in and level checked. Not a hard job but would have been easier on a Ramp.

Will probably do it again at 90k There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I had all the fluids changed at 79000 just in case/emotional reassurance.
Auto flush revealed only a slight change in colour from new replacement.
Transfer and axles as new.
Can't say I notice any difference driving but at least I have done the best I can for the long term.
Full No2 service, brake fluid change and all the above for around £900 from excellent local Indie. Very Happy Forty years of progress. 1972-2012

I don't think there is an official mileage stated as they are supposedly 'sealed for life'. How long is life?
Between 60k and 80k seems to be popular if long term ownership is planned. Forty years of progress. 1972-2012

In that case, definitely worth changing. Cheaper than a new gearbox. Forty years of progress. 1972-2012
