JLR UK sent me a proforma, and on it they state that a photograph of the VIN stamped into the chassis is required.

I take it you are asking for a Certificate of Conformity? If so provided your V5 has the eu number you don't need one. Just make sure the "Type" is on the V5. It is LM.

I take it the number that you are looking for is not the same as the one at the bottom of the windscreen left side? |

Not the same. The one you refer to is the VIN no John

The one behind the windscreen is the VIN It is stamped into the chassis I thought that was what you ask for in your first post?
