intermittent rotational knocking

2010 3.6 tdv8 have had this ff for 7months now all is fine except the intermittent knocking/thumping noide I get when accelerating from a standstill.have had it at 2 local garages one a respected l/r independent and the other a transmission specialist neither have been able to replicate the fault so unable to offer a cause.
it happens on normal acceleration and only from standstill but not all the time I can best describe the noise as what ive experienced before on older rwd cars when prop shaft centre bearing has gone.
I have had the gearbox reconditioned after problems with 5/6gear and had hoped this may have flagged a problem but specialist who carried out work advised nothing wrong to cause the symptoms.
when it does happen its only brief but have put box into neutral and im sure it stopped which would point to a transmission problem.

sorry for the long post but getting frustrating now and due a trip to devon soon would rather have it resolved before then

thanks in advance all input appreciated

Mine started with a very light ticking noise at certain speeds and usually just on very light throttle. It stayed like that for 1000's of miles before suddenly developing into a much more pronounced vibration. I had a look around and couldn't find anything conclusive, in the end, it turned out to be rear propshaft centre bearing. New propshaft, fault cured. BMW i3 Electric Car
