Today's problem, radio on and a rattling noise that sounds a bit like a knackered speaker except its happening as far as I can tell on all speakers. All audio sources are the same.

I assume it must be an amplifier problem or link to the head unit. It's been fine until this morning.

Any thoughts from you guys would be greatly appreciated. BMW i3 Electric Car

We could clearly hear one of the Peugeot door speakers crackling and after a couple of months decided to get in and fix it. We found the speaker diaphragm was cracked badly. After fixing it could then hear another cracklings noise. And found it was also cracked. We decided to check the front doors speakers and found one was cracked but not making a crackling sound. I suppose once it was cracked bad enough it would start malfunctioning.

We changed them all to Sony speakers which made a big improvement to sound quality for very little money. ______________________________

Water ingress in the rear left cubby hole was the issue on earlier cars. Corrosion on multiplug pins etc and even inside the modules.
Not sure about 2012 models though. 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Zermatt Silver with Charcoal

Well picked my car up today from the garage where it disgraced itself last week by failing an MOT test (front to rear brake pipes). Car now got new pipes, new MOT and.......... no rattling noise from the speakers. My fairy god technician has been down and fixed it. BMW i3 Electric Car
