But it’s not an SVA, it’s a fake. Buy a mint 2015(65) plate SDV8 AB for £45k instead

Surely the badge on the back is the last thing to consider, i know its not an SVA hence the post saying its a Vogue SE.

I normally buy on three main criteria, condition, condition and service history all of which tick the box.

My dilemma is that it's as well spec'ed as any AB and some, but how much of a premium it is worth?

I've looked at 3 AB's in main dealer stock on 65/16 plates and they are £48-50K but all look a bit "plain jane" in comparison.

Think i'm answering my own question Laughing

I also looked for bit to find one that wasn't the standard colours.

My concern with buying that one would be why isn't it at an main dealer with a LR 2 year warranty and breakdown? For that money you should be able to find a 2016 or even 2017 AB the latter of which will have the updated Infotainment system. Current: RR L322 2010
Past: RR L405 2017, RR L322 2012, 2008 & 2004, 2018 D5, 2016 Defender, 2011 D4, a few Disco2s, P38, RR Classic, couple of Disco1's, SIII SWB

I’m strangely attracted to it - I think it’s a nice car

My guess would be that a Main Dealer wouldn’t be that interested as it’s too far from standard - and would likely not offer any material premium over standard for it.

All those modifications should also be supplied to your insurance company......

I don’t get hung up on badges - VSE & AB are basically options packs as far as I’m concerned. I find a car with the stuff on it that I want & anything else is a bonus - there’s loads of things I don’t want or care about & wouldn’t pay a premium just to have them

The dealer saying “an exact SV Autobiography level of spec” is so ridiculously far from the truth it’s actually annoyed me. And I don’t think this is worth a premium over a stock Vogue SE, so in my option if you pay a premium you are unlikely to Rover that.

The paintwork is indeed very striking.

Some kit you are missing from a regular AB (the list for an SVA would be near endless) includes:
Opening roof
Real leather on facia and dash top
A small number of electric seat adjustments
Winged headrests
Surround cameras
4 zone climate
Suede cloth headlining
Timed climate

Well that’s standard on a VSE also - so I guess was deliberately spec’d as fixed.....

That aside, it’s not exactly uncommon for a dealer to misunderstand then options, or to talk up how even a base Vogue has everything your heart could ever desire Whistle

Actually, my error: Vogue & Vogue SE do have real leather on the facia (Windsor leather, same as on AB), although it does not have the stitching detail.

However, Vogue & Vogue SE get faux leather on the dash top and this cannot be upgraded for some bizarre reason.

Now I know why I don’t post very often Rolling Eyes

I’m really not interested in the minutia of mines got this, that hasn’t Bla Bla Bla...

Surely most sensible people choose a car on

1) Do I like it
2) Is the condition of the car to my standard
3) Is the service history impeccable
4) Does it have my desired spec or better

What badge it’s got on the back and whether the model above has 3 extra cow hides really doesn’t concern me.
