It absolutely kills me why they don't fit kunifer 10 or similar non-corroding pipes from new. BMW i3 Electric Car

I totally agree,
Volvo started using this material in 1976, don't know if they still do.

Got cunifer fitted as standard on my Volvo V70 2006 ( Sven...) - 13 years old, no sign of any corrosion .

Hi Joe,
On your V70 I'm curious, are the brake pipe fittings brass or steel?.

Thanks

After having advisories for the rear flexis last year, I thought I’d replace them ahead of the MOT next week.

The offside went well but the near side flare nut was rounded off (I’d asked someone to do them for me but they said the nuts were too rusted and didn’t want to damage the brake pipe - but never mentioned they’d rounded it off).

A number of hours later, having fought with the fuel tank cover and heat shield (thanks Joe for your old brake lines post in the Wiki ) and replaced a length of pipe, all was good.
Getting back to the OP - AJGalaxy - did it fail on the flexis or the pipe which connects to them? 2017 Jaguar F Pace 25t Portfolio - still part of the JLR family 😀

@ Strider, they look brass or "brass-like" to me .

Thanks Joe,
when I did my brake lines I used steel fittings, my reason, those threads are quite fine and have a small cross section area, I didnt want to risk cross threading or stripping the thread on assembly.
