Fluid level i ok. I've also changed the fluid (using correct LR Cold climate fluid). 2007 L322 3.6 TDV8 Stornoway |

The noise that you are hearing which is the same as the full lock noise is the spooler valve venting pressure , either your PAS pump needs attention (recon unit) or your rack is on the way out and you have fluid pressure imbalance causing the spool valve to activate.

As long as none of the offending articles are spewing metal debries into the system, thus making short work of other seals, I agree with living with it a while longer.
