Adaptive cruise question

Folks
I’m fortunate enough to have adaptive cruise on mine which I think is brilliant and has had plenty of use over the last 3 years but today it didn’t “see” a motorbike directly in front of me (I did!).
Has anyone else had this? It seems to work perfectly OK other than this

I am surprised that forward alert didn’t activate., it seems over sensitive to me , particularly when oncoming traffic drifts a fraction over the line., but I can’t actually think of any instances when it has alerted for a motorbike.

Probably just as they are - the HGV's that I drive that have adaptive cruise don't "see" motorbikes either. 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6

Mixed results here. sometimes does sometimes not.

I get very frustrated with it 'loosing' a vehicle in front on a long motorway curve - all of a sudden it takes off towards the car in front!.

My forward alert does not come on by default - i have to turn it on each time if want it. Censored 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

Thanks All
I didn’t think there was a problem, I was just curious as I couldn’t remember it not seeing anything in front before but I suppose I don’t often catch up with a motorbike.

The current "issue" DAF CF's have adaptive cruise which can have the distances set to preference. Actually works quite well & can work out if you are gaining on something or someone has cut in front of you but going faster than you.

They also have EBS which can be disconcerting when 2-wheelers/pedestrians scoot across in front of you - fortunatly, it can be turned off. 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6

I have come up behind a couple of motor bikes with adaptive cruse on in my old L322 and most of the time it would see them but they tended to be the larger bikes. From memory, the times it didn't they were narrow small bikes (which is probably why I was catching them rather than them overtaking me). Current: RR L322 2010
Past: RR L405 2017, RR L322 2012, 2008 & 2004, 2018 D5, 2016 Defender, 2011 D4, a few Disco2s, P38, RR Classic, couple of Disco1's, SIII SWB
