Thanks a lot for posting that Red.
We all have these kind of contemplations, and often discuss this stuff on the forum.
This topic is also the reason that shows like Wheeler Dealers is so popular.
I myself joined the marque with a 2011 100k miler, using the higher miles to get more for my money.
This car is pretty extreme case of that principle, somebody will be able to get into a fine 2011 high spec AB for relative peanuts. The main problem somebody will hit with this car or any similar is that the high miles distort the typical value too much, when they come to insurance the cost will be disproportionately high compared to actual money paid.
But it's certainly testament to the three rules of LR ownership:
1. maintenance
2. maintenance
3. maintenance
Those Highways Agencies cars are often referred to as confirmation that maintenance can keep them running over well over 300k miles.
But most interesting to read about a car we've all been talking about, from a journalist's point of view.
Thanks again Red.
Regards,
Greg Cheers, Greg
