Its an accelerometer for the 2009> active suspension... Otherwise known as a yaw sensor |

Ah ha... thats what it looks like..... what does it do? (like in response to various yaw or accel/decel inputs?) |

TPMS sensor/reciever's are on the rear of your inner wheel arch/splash guards sir and look like a plastic ariel |

tho.. when i google Range rover Yaw sensor none of the pictures look like the one in my spare wheel well.... |

There are several of them around the car and they all sense body roll as you travel, then the system adjusts the active shock absorbers to suite |

Gotcha, thx folks..great info..... not a great placement of the sensor if you are chucking the spare wheel back in't hole.... but now i know i need to be very careful of it |

Oh well, pretty sure the spare on my 2007 was monitored as well (I had enough trouble with the TPMS).
