Do these very experienced mechanics agree that the car is definitely experiencing far too many DPF regens ? ,...If so, what do they consider acceptable/ normal/expected for a car with such low mileage ?

A bit a further anecdotal EGR>DPF chat from piston heads:

No problem with mine, except I keep accidentally kicking it out whilst driving and collecting live data.

Didn't have to look too far to find member JST had this: https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic40994-15.html There is also reference to a cracked inlet manifold, and EGR is mentioned. Matt I assume yours isn't throwing this code. I'm now measuring miles between regens on my B trip meter. Got 150 miles 20mph driving in traffic over the last 16 days before I hit 24grams. Did a calm steady run at 40 then 50mph and it came down to 4.4gram. I am error code-free but I am left wondering if 150 miles in traffic is acceptable, or if I could expect better. Reading That mainly Evoque link suggests there are many worse off than me. Matt mine, penned in by chocka London traffic until I hit the A40 at 24grams, didn't attempt once to so a slow speed burn as you have experienced. .
