I'd caution against using that cheap ceramic product, but if you do, you really need to proper prep before applying, rather than just a clean over. Bilt Hamber shampoo for me, incredibly good value. For the tyres I use Maguiars Endurance Tyre gel |

as with any nano coating preparing the surface is mandatory = clay bar and distilled water alcohol mix. as for nano coating it is not cheap the others are expensive. i have had this on my wheels for almost a year and coating is holding well. I apply this to my brake calipers which i polish before.

All the money that goes into the development of these complicated products, and £4 isn't cheap? I've tested those products, and they are definitely inferior, but they're an excellent price, and they're probably good enough for wheels, but I wouldn't let them anywhere near my paintwork. |

While your wheels are off I would go for any ceramic sealant such as Gtechniq C5 or similar. Can't comment on the £4 suggestion but I have used C5 and like all the new ceramic coatings it is excellent.

I too would recommend Gtechniq C5. I treated the wheels of my Boxster on delivery and several years later the dirt still hoses off. Its expensive but very good. |
