You'll need a new TPMS valve and have the tyre taken off to have the sender replaced i'm afraid.

You’re lucky it was only the spare - I managed it with one on the car - just before we set off on holiday with the boot loaded to the roof

You can buy just the valve body as a repair part.

Thanks for replies, my TPMS has never worked on the road wheels ( different style to spare) so obviously not coded to car, the spare did work but as no warning after the disaster assume the batteries dead now so think ill just get a rubber valve fitted and forego the TPMS on it, quicker and cheaper.
