Surely it should be emptying its DPF in normal driving? Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Same with the L322. LR online quote was cheaper than my local Indy but when I called the price went up £300......no prizes for guessing who got the job. Current: FF Westminster money pit

There have been other threads on this - and with L322 - the answers from different dealers always seem to vary - but seems poor practice.

So is it or can I just use fixed price servicing going forward. Dealer just quoted me £798.61 for a service, the dearest on the fixed price schedule is £545 or is there a catch? Geoff |

Depends if the dealer is part of the program, I know we are but not all are - so the £798.00 and £858.00 are RRP prices taken from the service system (labour cost varies as you can see in the above quotes) You can paypal direct using - www.paypal.me/duckworthparts

Thanks Dan, that makes sense. I assume my Tonbridge dealer is not participating in the scheme. A shame, but that is their loss, not mine! SDV8 AB MY 2019

So, having cancelled the Service with the Main Agent, they called me today and explained that the L405 SDV8 variant is not on JLRs fixed price servicing sheet. Sure enough, it's not, but is quoted as TDV8 2014 onwards. They said they would honour the lower service cost of £550 pending clarification with JLR....

But, but, but... does this mean that fixed priced servicing for older vehicles is manufacturer subsidised? I wonder what the thought process is. To get people milling about the new cars at the dealership, I suppose?

Mines a 4.4 diesel its a 405 BUT its a 2013 - this doesn't seem to be covered as there is no mention of 2013 as the table just jumps from 2012 to 2014 - missing me out I don't know if its a TDV8 or SDV8 Geoff |
