RR sport 3.0 sdv6 or 4.4 v8 diesel

hi again guys, i was planning on buying a v8 petrol sport but cant seem to find one under the approved used scheme so i will settle for a diesel. which in terms of reliability would be the best? the 3.0 or the 4.4?

i will be buying a 2015/16 with around 50k on the clock and i cover around 3k a year in it.

mpg doesnt bother me in the slightest.

anything to look out for with either engine?

Is that 3,000 miles a year of short journeys at slowish speeds? If so, avoid either diesel.

yes buddy as i have an impreza that i use aswell. my commute is 5 miles each way, thats why i was going for a 5.0 v8 but im not buying one without a warranty (private) and all the ones on the approved used scheme are out of my budget

If it's a Sport, then this forum might be better -

I'd agree though, the diesels don't like short journeys, so go looking for a petrol (mr move further away from work)

I can see your problem, but either of those diesels will cause you lots of grief used like that and petrol is the only viable answer. Sorry Sad

jag f-pace supercharged 3.0v6

ive just had a quick look on auto trader and there are a few rr sport 5.0 manufacturer approved hovering around the £40k mark so i just need them to drop to around £35k and im in Smile

If you can hold off for a bit that would sound like the ideal answer Thumbs Up
