Hello all
On my journey into work this morning i got "Restricted PErformance" warning on the display. After that it was extremely sluggish to pull way (although once up to about 50mph it then seemed okay).
Managed to continue my journey into work, although then when i parked up in the car park i got "Gearbox not in Park" error (and an annoying beeping) - when clearly i had put the car into Park before attempting to switch off.

Now mildly concerned that i may have issues getting home later.
Anyone experienced anything similar?

I suspect i might need to cal my local garage to get it booked in (although its not due a service yet).

I should add that the car behaved itself perfectly over the weekend... Current

When was the fuel filter last changed ? well worth doing if its been in place for 20 to 25 k Easy ish diy as well .

Good question - i've only had the car a few months and only done 5k in it.

I was thinking it could be "dirty" fuel though, as last fill was from a small village garage a couple of weeks back and i was running down to my last 90 miles or so on the run in this morning. Current

If that is 5K from new then it wont be the filter !

The OP's car is a 14MY Charlie...

You really need to get the codes read sir...

Restricted Performance will leave a readable code and this should assist in diagnosing your issue

Good way to test for fuel filter problems is to find a deserted "up hill"race track and cause the car to need maximum fuel delivery IE go flat out for as long as you can or dare . If the filter is getting clogged this will cause the restricted performance warning to crop up .
