Water build up - upper rear tail gate

Does anyone else have this same annoying dribble from the rear tail gate. It seems to build up around the rear parking camera. It happens after rain, and water seems to sit and then slowly over some miles the water finally is all gone.

I have already replaced seals on the wiper, wiper motor and made sure neither wiper, nor motor are leaking any longer, and that the feed pipes are intact and good.

Ok, so not just me then. Somewhat relieved.

Has anyone figured out a way to stop it?

I'm considering looking for something like a black plastic mini trough/L shaped profile say 10mm wide that can be cut to length and sympathetically affixed with black silicone down the full length side of the windscreen so that it channels the wipers efforts down it instead of allowing it run around the side window. Does that sound plausible? Or do those wind deflectors cure it? Rolling Eyes 2008 L322 Vogue 3.6 TDV8 in Java Black with parchment and Navy interior. 125000mls.

I used to be indecisive and have a split personality... but we are ok now...I think?

Rapiscan, you might find double glazing fitters/companies have something that would do the job.

I was thinking about filling in some of the voids under the rear spolier, large deployment of mastic carefully shaped might do the thing for the rear dribble, or at least reduce it a bit more. Obviously nothing porous that holds water is a good idea, so foam, sponge or anything like that under the rear spoiler is no good.

I know your talking about the rear window and I the side drivers one, my apologies, just thought slim black plastic profile fitted discreetly would prevent any water travelling around the sides especially with the window open, it's a massive design flaw allowing water onto the door electrics and astonishing LR haven't addressed it either? Does anyone actually know why there is this build-up of water around the rear backup camera anyway?
What is exactly happening when it rains? Is it pooling up somewhere in the camera housing and then slowly trickling out? 2010 RR SC

My upper tailgate seems to fill up with water which all comes rushing out down the sides when I open. Is this the sort of water collection that you're referring to? 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE
