So after a trip to our local Tesco, (with new speed humps). The rear silencer decided to give way at the 2 rearmost rubber connectors and in the process breaking the join of the 2 pipes at the front of the silencer. My question is this....

Can I just remove silencer and run it like that over the weekend as we have a full schedule of showjumping and I can't get it in until Tuesday.

depends how much noise it makes, if a little more than before then it should be ok as long as you drive steadily..

True story, many years ago I ordered a stainless steel full exhaust for my 2.5VM Classic, but their was a delay in it being supplied.
We were about to set off to France for a two week holiday so, I convinced my wife it would last and off we went.

I left the back box in a skip outside a supermarket in Calais on our way back home and had a very noisy drive all the way home from Dover to Oldham

The new one was waiting with my neighbor when we got home.

I have now removed it with help of a bit of annoyance ! Sounds loud but not overbearing
