Air suspension compressor

For a long while now (since maybe before Christmas!) our RR has been misbehaving with its air suspension. I have been convinced all along that it was the compressor but have been overruled at every stage by SWMBO.
At the end of last year I had even printed out a thread and youtube clip of repairing the compressor, but again, overruled as it was definately not the compressor causing it.

Today the local mechanic had the car in, wife goes to pick it up, comes back and the guy has fixed the Air Suspension!! Hooray!!!

When I asked what it was..............

Compressor repair kit!!!!!!

Was I congratulated on my deduction from last year????

NO!! Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Result Thumbs Up

But it won't be long before she's up and saying "I told you it was the compressor all along"

My missus may be a "bit" stubborn but at least she allows me to make my own repairs (sorry, mistakes), but the downside of failure is then.... well you can guess Rolling Eyes Cheers

I dont do any car repairs now after I changed a thermostat gasket on a V6 Ford Granada Ghi Estate many years ago and snapped one of the bolts in the inlet manifold, which then led me to snapping off a stud extractor in the remains of the bolt which was now embedded in the Inlet manifold!

Oh and this was between Christmas and New Year so no main dealers open......

Managed to fix it by removing an inlet manifold from a scrapyard!! And all because of a tiny water leak from a 20p gasket on the thermostat!!! Whistle

Ouch!!

But at least now you don't get the "I told you it wouldn't work" talk Confused I'll never learn, still get my ears pinned back.

Have a good one. Cheers
